I hope that I shall always possess the firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the characteristic of being honest.
I like work; it fascinates me; I can sit and look at it for hours.

Never angered, never peeved; happy, loyal, well received.
I am gentle, I am shy; there is mischief in my eye.
Hitch your wagon to a star.



Music lurks in every dimple.
Of soul sincere, in action faithful, in honor clean.
The word impossible is not in my dictionary.



Chatter, chatter, as she goes.
Her friendship has the power to sooth the affliction in life's darkest hour.
For the world was made for fun and frolic.



There is no recipe like laughter.
His life is gentle, and the elements are mixed in him that nature might say to the world, this is a man.
Reading makes a full man, conference a ready man, and writing an exact man.



Energy and persistence conquers all things.
The witty jest, the frequent smile made her friendship well worthwhile.
It matters not how long we live, but how.



I came, I saw, I conquered.
A fresh, a free, a friendly man.
Thoughts are deeper than words



And certainly he is a good fellow.
The force of his own merit makes his way.
I like fun and I like jokes, 'bout as well as most folks.

A ray of cheerfulness - she casts all her beams afar.
Neither too careless, nor too glad, nor too cautious, nor too sad.
To worry little and to study less, is Fran's idea of happiness.



He is greatest whose strength carries up the most hearts by the attraction of his own.
Sincerity and simplicity sweetly combined.
There is no wisdom like frankness.





Beauty lies with kindness.
For if she will, she will - you may depend on it - and if she won't, she won't so there's an end on 't.
If you think before you speak, the other fellow gets in his joke first.



The world belongs to the energetic.
